About Hobbs Aerospace

AS9100D-Aligned Precision Machining for the World's Aero-Engine Programs

Hobbs Aerospace is a U.S.-based AS9100D-aligned precision machining company supplying engine components, housing assemblies, and complex machined parts to tier-one aero-engine OEMs. We machine flight-critical hardware to customer engineering specification in the most demanding aerospace alloys.

Who We Are

A Qualified Partner by Design

Hobbs Aerospace was built to serve a specific need: as commercial aviation enters a historic production upcycle, engine OEMs must expand their qualified machining base rather than absorb the load in-house. We exist to be that qualified partner — a domestic, ITAR-compliant precision machining source engineered from day one around aerospace qualification standards.

Our capability spans two engineered product families — engine line plumbing hardware and structural / rotating hardware — machined across titanium, Inconel, and high-strength steel alloys to tight dimensional and geometric tolerances.

Industrial precision machining facility floor

Our Mission

To supply precision aero-engine components of uncompromising quality, delivered by a certified, U.S.-based operation that engine OEMs and tier-1 suppliers can qualify with confidence.

What Sets Us Apart

What Sets Us Apart

Aerospace-grade machining capability

A machining core of CNC turning and 5-axis milling centers spanning small close-tolerance fittings through large structural housings and rotating hardware.

Certification-first approach

Rather than retrofitting quality onto an existing shop, our facility, processes, and documentation are sequenced from the outset toward AS9100D, NADCAP, and FAA compliance.

Material traceability

Sourcing restricted to customer-approved Qualified Parts List suppliers, with full heat-and-lot traceability and Certified Material Test Reports on every release.

Broad product scope

Multiple entry points onto an OEM's parts list — from simple fittings and ferrules through complex structural and rotating components — spreading value across a full component range.

Target Customers

Who We Serve

We supply, and are building qualification toward, the world's leading engine OEMs and their tier-1 suppliers — including programs across CFM International, Rolls-Royce, GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Honeywell — as well as defense and DoD-adjacent work as a second demand channel.

Quality & Compliance

A Stacked Compliance Framework

Supplying tier-1 engine OEMs requires a stacked compliance framework. AS9100D establishes the base quality management system; NADCAP accredits special processes such as heat treatment, welding, and NDT; and FAA oversight plus customer-specific PPAP / QPL approval sit on top — alongside environmental, OSHA, and export-control (ITAR / EAR, DFARS) compliance.

Facility

Purpose-Built for Production

Our operation is planned as a purpose-built, industrial-zoned U.S. facility weighted toward production floor space, with dedicated warehousing, inspection, and utility areas — located within an established aerospace-machining region for access to skilled labor and OEM proximity.
